Dick was born in South Georgia, grew up in Douglas, Georgia, and currently resides in east Cobb County.  He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Administration in Economics and from Georgia State University with a Masters of Professional Accounting.

In 1982, Dick joined Moore & Cubbedge as a tax associate.  He became a partner in 1985 and currently practices in the areas of income tax planning and compliance, estate planning, business consulting, and financial planning.   He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Dick is on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Marietta and the Tommy Nobis Center.

Dick and his wife, Carol, have a son and a daughter.  When he’s not working, Dick enjoys golfing, sports, beach vacations, and babysitting his granddaughter.
