Jean grew up in North Georgia and moved to the metro area in 1978. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Jacksonville State University. Prior to beginning a career with Moore & Cubbedge in 1984, she worked in banking and teaching - at one time having taught conversational English in Tokyo. Two years after joining the firm, she passed the CPA exam and became a partner in 1991.
Jean manages the tax department of the firm where her specialty is tax services involving estate, trust, business and personal matters. Her experience allows her to advise clients on business operations and complex tax transactions.
Jean serves on the Board and is a Past President of the Cobb County Boys & Girls Club, she is the Past President of Inpact, a National Association of Accounting Firms; she serves as the finance chair of the Georgia Ballet, and the Cobb Library Foundation. She is a member of the Marietta Kiwanis Club and the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association.
Jean and her husband, Tom, enjoy travel, the theatre, music and their family, and are active members of the First United Methodist Church. She is an avid reader and an occassional gardener. A one-time runner, she is now, unfortunately, only a walker.
